About the brand …

I’m a true fan of the Womanizer. When I say “true fan”, I really mean it. My Womanizer Pro500 is definitely my all-time favorite sex toy. I had the first version of the Womanizer, but when I heard that the Pro500 was about to be released, I really wanted to have it. An even better version of my favorite toy, that’s a real must have.

There were some notable improvements: more settings, and what I thought was especially an improvement was the added “plus” and “minus” button. So not only can you go up a setting, but you can also go back one setting if the higher setting turned out to be too intense. And just like the first version, you can also switch back to the very first setting with one push of a button with the Pro500, which is extremely handy and good if you just had an orgasm.

I was happy already, but this made me even happier.

After this, they also released a Pro40 model. It was a lot more basic design wise, however, it was waterproof and a lot cheaper. The original Womanizer costs 159 euro, the Pro W500 189 euro and the Pro W40 99 euro! That’s still a lot of money, but a lot more attractive price wise.

And now, the newest model, the Pro40, has been discontinued and has been replaced with this new Womanizer 2Go. A Womanizer which looks like a lipstick. A very big lipstick, which is somewhat kind of ridiculous. But if you don’t think about the size, it actually looks pretty damn cute.

Testing …

If I never used a Womanizer before, it would have been over the moon with this Womanizer 2Go. It gave me a really good orgasm (really really good!). The stimulation is great, the way it feels is absolutely brilliant.

It’s also easy to hold, easier than I expected. Its size really comes in handy in regards to this. I think a smaller lipstick would be not as easy to hold. The suction head which goes over your clit is shaped differently from other Womanizers, but it fits perfectly, maybe even easier as well, so everything so far is great and it really keeps everything in place.

But! Despite previous models, I think that this Womanizer 2Go is more of a setback instead of an improvement.

The Womanizer 2Go comes in a very pretty box. At first sight, it even looks a little fancy. But if you look a little better, you can see a lot of scratches on the gold packaging. I had this when I already took it out of the shipping box. Also, there is no storage bag included, which I think it a shame when you have an expensive toy like this. You could store this toy without any kind of packaging, but it would be a shame if the outer layer would end up with scratches.

So, the Womanizer 2Go looks like a (very large) lipstick. You first have to take off the cap just like with a real lipstick. The strange thing is though, is that when you put the cap back on, it just won’t stay in place anymore. First, I thought that the cap, or connection, was broken from the start. But after a couple of tries and pushes, the cap finally fitted correctly. And then it didn’t.

It took a while before I figured out how it worked, but you have to keep pushing the cap back on for about three seconds and then it will stay in place (most of the time). I have no idea why, because this is pretty inconvenient. I also already dropped the Womanizer 2Go because I was holding it by the cap which came off all of the sudden. You can expect a little bit more from an expensive toy like this one.

And then for the controls. This Womanizer only has one button. Even the very first Womanizer had two buttons. That was not ideal from the start, but this is even worse. After pressing it for a few seconds, it will turn on and then you can go up one setting by pressing the button once. After you’ve been through all 6 settings, it will go back to the first one. So, if you think that the next setting is too intense, you can’t simply go back.

You actually have to take it off your clit and then press the button until you’re back at the setting you liked or press it for three seconds to turn it off, press it for three seconds to turn it on and then you still have to find the right setting. This way, you don’t have to take it off your clit, but it takes longer.

I really thought this was not handy. Especially for a toy like this where you’ll find that the next setting might be too intense (for me at least), this is not a convenient way to operate it.

And another thing I really miss is the possibility to go back to the first setting with the single push of a button. When I’ve reached an orgasm, I immediately want to go back to the lowest setting, all other ones are too intense. You can’t do that with this one. You could keep pressing until it reaches the first setting, but then it will first go harder (if it was not at its highest setting) and that’s the last thing I want to do after I just had an orgasm.

Another option is to turn it off and turn it on again. But even I noticed that at this point, I’m not in the mood to continue any more. I’m out of the moment. Just keep it turned off then…

The sound of the Womanizer 2Go was louder and more annoying than its previous models. The sound does not sound stable. At first, when I tried it on my hand, I thought it came with patterns because of the way it sounded. The stimulation itself is stable, but the sound has a certain pattern. It bothers me, especially because of the fact that the sound and feeling do not add up.

The Verdict …

If I would buy a Womanizer now, I would prefer to save up another 30 euro to buy the Womanizer Pro500. It might not be waterproof like this 2Go version, but it works a lot better and easier. I really think it’s such a shame that they took the Pro40 out of production, because this was such an amazing Womanizer, for a very good price. It feels like a bit of a letdown because now you have to pay so much more only because it looks like a lipstick and is overall worse than its predecessors.

I just really can’t get over the fact that it is so big. Why, really, why do you make it in the shape of a lipstick if you don’t want or can’t produce something in the size of a lipstick? Why? I just don’t understand. It feels like it’s such a stupid thing, a lipstick as big as this. I don’t know if they did it so you can take it with you discreetly, I would expect that based on the name and appearance, but nobody, seriously, nobody will believe that this is a real lipstick.

If everything else was perfect, I would think: “ah well, it might seem a little big, so what!”. But now it’s just another thing that bothers me. It’s a shame. I still really love Womanizer, but I just don’t understand this decision. Hopefully they will change their minds and that they bring back the Pro40.
